Accurate, balanced evidence-based information about medicines
...in the Research
To improve health, it is essential to find good evidence about what works and apply that evidence to bring about improved outcomes. When implementing programs, it is important to evaluate their impacts and to understand issues that affect implementation to ensure that programs continue to be delivered effectively and efficiently.
Research and development activities help us identify and develop innovative Quality Use of Medicines (QUM) programs to improve medicine use by consumers and health professionals, and ultimately the health of the community.
Evaluation plays a central role by applying rigorous evaluation approaches to NPS work to sustain a national QUM program into the future.
